In the 1997 season Brown pitched the team's second no-hitter and was backed up by double-play experts Luis Castillo and Edgar Renteria. That same year was the first World Series victory for the Florida Marlins.

Unfortunately, a scandal involving Huizenga's fraudulent reporting of financial losses in the franchise resulted in, essentially, a "fire sale" of all the team's best players. The fans were outraged at this betrayal and came up with the strange but hurtful slogan "Wait 'til last year!" to taunt the shamed owner. Even worse, attendance fell and the team's performance slid into an abyss of loss after loss after loss.

But by 2003 the Marlins were back at the top of their game, bringing another World Series title to Dolphin Stadium and building a strong foundation for a lasting team. Will 2007 be the third Marlins World Series win?
